....if you have yet to get married,
or if the night before you got married was full of sound sleep,
then let me explain my night.
I'm exhausted.
I've worked a ton the past two weeks and I've been stressing out and freaking out,
but I'm way too excited to sleep.

...this is my night
 Go to sleep...
No! Too excited!
Tomorrow I'm making a HUGE commitment. This is BIG.
I'm DONE dating. No more looking, searching, this is it.
This is the man I'm with for the rest of forever.
Am I okay with that?
Absolutely! Because he's sweet, and gentle, and gorgeous, and kind, and giving, and perfect.
.....I'm too excited to sleep.

I will see you all soon! As a married woman.
A Mrs. Quinn Rios.

dumpster diving

I have a confession
(PS 3 days til' I'm a Mrs!)
That's not my confession...
My confession is
*deep breath*
I'm a dumpster diver.
Now, before you judge me, let me explain.
Taylor and I LOVE going to movies!
It's like our most favorite thing eva'.
But do you know the snack prices?
like $7 for popcorn.
I'm so so sad when I gotta watch any movie anytime anywhere with no popcorn.
Which doesn't really ever happen because I have a lover who spoils me.
So that's nice!

Anywho, so there have been several times where we have gotten our popcorn, eaten it all, and left wanting more. And then there just so happens to be another bag of popcorn sitting a few seats away from us, or a free refill bucket with some leftover popcorn (Kettle corn, of course!!)
And we just happened to grab em... and eat them... and use the bucket for a free refill.

Don't judge! If we can save $7 for popcorn for our next movie, why not???
It's smart! A little gross? Meh. But a great deal! We love it!

And we haven't stooped to taking a bucket out of the garbage...yet.
Have we looked?

~This post was written by Tay and Kolie~

my fiance says i owe you

So, Tay and I went to church today at OUR ward!
Don't worry, another installment of "My Fair Wedding" is coming.
...if you care.
Which you should.
ANYWAY, we got to my Grandmother's after church...and a meeting with our new bishop...and a visit with our lovely siblings (ya know, Tay's bro and sis-in-law)
and you know what Tay said?
"Write a blog post. You owe it to your followers."
Who woulda thunk??
I grabbed some pics of my new mikarose outfit and hopped on!
Although this next one is much better!
Ahh yeah. Bum shot.
I'm so excited to be married!
To be with Tay..like with with. For forever.
To figure things out and work on things TOGETHER.
It's gonna be the best.
Hard, I know.
I know it's work.
But I'm still ecstatic!
We're gonna get gym memberships,
and groceries,
and we're gonna work,
and decorate,
and love love love.
And shower!
...at the same time.
We all know it's a thing!
I just had to say it.
I'm done.
Love you all :)

we need the mula

I'm not a girl of means.
Never had much, and I've been perfectly happy.
(haha one year my entire Christmas loot consisted of a shakeweight)
Alls I'm saying is that I've never lived so big!
Taylor takes me out to dinner!
At places other than Village Inn and Sizzler!
And he surprised me with earrings from Icing, not Plato's Closet..LOVE him.
But this big-time-living comes at a cost.
So, I might just have to go back to Village Inn and $10 pants from Sears.
And maybe not even that...and until things pick up a little, I got to work!
I worked 10 hours today in heels. Ouch.
And I'm tired...
Tomorrow I work 11 hours..
then 10 on friday...
then 11 on Saturday...
All I want is a time where I don't have to fret about bills and debts and money.
But at least I've made some new friends at work...

i can tell it's gonna be a good day-Priscilla Ahn

I love Priscilla Ahn, y'all should look that song up...referring to my title.
I had a good day today! So far...knock on wood.
I got called for a random job interview at Mikarose
(I sent them my resume like FOREVER ago)
She said I looked put together and cute and hired me on the spot!
No joke!
I went from jobless to two jobs..
Two jobs in RETAIL!
Ah yeah!
Plus, I got to pick 2 free things!
I picked a $60 dress and I'll pick something else later.
I get a pretty sick discount too!
the dress I picked :)
After that, I was off to my other job!
I was a little apprehensive about telling my manager that I just got a rando job offer, but oh well!
It was a SLOW day, BUT my favoritest sis-in-law stopped by for a visit!
We chatted for about an hour :)
It was very much needed.
I love talking to people that say the right things and totally get you,
ya know?
Job offer + free little shopping spree + nice chat + 11 days til I'm married = GREAT DAY!
Which is awesome, 'cause I've been way too stressed and down and out lately :/
I love you all.
Email me for whatever reason whenever you wanna :)

My Fair Wedding: Part 9

I feel like I'm trying to plan an entire wedding in under a month!
Luckily, I've had a ton of help from my Grandma, Mom, and Aunt.
So the updates!
Tay and I are getting married here :)

It's really pretty, and it's all booked and ready to go!
I've finished my bouquet AND Tay's boutineer.
As for the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids?
...not so much.
Photographer is booked and AWESOME!
And the invites have been sent out!
The only bummer about where we're getting married.is that we can't really set up chairs..
There's a pavilion! But everyone will kind of have to gather around for the actual ceremony.
Luckily, ceremonies aren't too long usually.

A Hard Decision.

If you aren't LDS (aka Mormon) maybe this post won't make sense to you,
but to those at are, surely it will.
For the past two months, Taylor and I have been working very closely with the Bishop getting ready to get married for all eternity in the temple.
I'm really excited to go in the temple!
To make those very sacred covenants,
to be able to be in such a spiritually uplifting place,
and to be sealed to my love for always and forever.
But we're not ready.
We're just not ready right now.
We've been talking, and trying to get all of our ducks in a row, but we've decided that we won't be ready in 19 days.
I guarantee you that no matter who you are or how you know me OR Taylor,
You deserve no explanation.
Sorry to sound so mean...but I mean to sound firm.
Believe you me, not going to the temple to get married is hard enough.
We don't need questions, unfair judgements, or people talking about it behind closed doors.
Entering the temple isn't just something you go do.
It's not something that our Heavenly Father takes lightly.
Going in the temple before you are ready is serious.
It is NOT good.
The things done in the temple last for eternity,
in the LDS culture (NOT the religion) the importance of the temple gets muddled and clouded.
When a person gets a mission call, the buzz is ALL about where they're going, and when, and how, etc.
But the work to enter the temple should never be ignored or pushed down to second place.
When Taylor and I were getting married in the temple, people asked about when and where and the reception and the dress,
the fun and interesting stuff,
but by far the LEAST important of it all.
Taylor and I will go to the temple.
We are excited to go!
We are excited to be completely ready to go!

We will continue to read our scriptures together and pray together every single night,
we will continue to go to church,
we will still hang the picture of the temple that I painted in our home to show what we believe.
and we will do everything we need to do :)

A civil marriage (a marriage outside the temple) will still mean we are man and wife
to society,
to the law,
and to God.

We have made a really hard decision,
but we have made the right decision.

And that's all you need to know :)

long time no see

Hello everyone.
It's been a while, I know.
No, I'm not busy.
No, I'm not stressed about a wedding
(well I am, but that's not why I've been gone)
Why have I been gone?
Because so much has been going on.
A lot of really hard things.
So, I just wanted to check in and say hi!
I am here. I am alive. I still love you.
